Straightforward recovery attempt
Failing or physically damaged drives require a diagnostic and separate quote. Recovery success is not guaranteed.
About the diagnostic: The £14.95 fee pays for the initial diagnostic and advice. It is payable even if you decide not to go ahead with a repair. We’ll get your approval before starting; if more extensive investigation is needed, we’ll explain the additional charge first. We’ll confirm any home-visit travel or collection charge before arranging it.
SafeHands Flexible Payments
For any SafeHands job quoted over £100, ask to spread the cost over up to three monthly payments at 0% interest, with no payment-plan or late-payment fees. We will confirm the fixed total, payment dates and any agreed parts or delivery costs in writing before you accept the arrangement.
If we return your completed device before the final payment is due, the remaining agreed instalments are still payable. If a payment is missed, contact us so we can discuss the next step; no interest or late fee is added under this plan.
Mention “Flexible Payments” in your repair request. Your individual payment dates and job details are agreed directly with SafeHands; the agreement is sent to you privately.

Is the diagnostic free?
No. The £14.95 fee covers the initial diagnostic and advice, and is payable even if you decide not to go ahead with the repair. We confirm it before starting. If you want to share more detail beforehand, join the free SafeHands PC Care Club to receive our Windows PC Health Check by email. It checks basic system indicators and creates a report on your PC; it does not send anything automatically. You can review the report and choose to email it to us. It flags possible areas for review, but it cannot find every fault or replace the paid diagnostic. Join the Care Club for the download.
Do I have to approve the repair?
No repair work or parts purchase starts until we’ve explained the quote and you’ve approved it.
Can you visit me or collect my computer?
Home visits, remote support, collection and drop-off are available by arrangement across Leeds and nearby West Yorkshire. Customers elsewhere in the UK can arrange a courier repair. Please contact us before dispatch so we can confirm the booking, provide packing guidance and agree delivery charges.
Can you recover my files?
We can attempt recovery where appropriate. The method depends on the fault and the condition of the drive, and a successful recovery cannot be promised. We’ll explain the options and quote before recovery work.
Can I send my computer in by courier?
Yes. We accept couriered PCs from across the UK by prior arrangement. Contact us before dispatch to confirm the booking, get packing and delivery instructions, and agree delivery charges. We’ll provide a repair quote before any repair work or parts are approved.
Can you build a complete PC?
Yes. Full build labour starts at £59.95; parts are additional and must be approved before purchase. Complex builds are quoted separately.
Do you assess and repair mobile phones or tablets?
Yes. We assess mobile-device issues and repair faults we can reliably fix. What we can service depends on the make, model, fault and part availability. Send us the device details and symptoms first; we’ll confirm whether we can help, any assessment charge, a suitable handoff or courier option, and the quote before repair work or parts are approved.
