Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

This notice explains how SafeHands PC Clinic uses personal information when you visit safehandspcclinic.com or send a repair request. We do not sell personal information.

Who is responsible for your information?

SafeHands PC Clinic is responsible for the information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email bookings@safehandspcclinic.com.

Information we collect and why

If you send a repair request or contact us through live chat, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, device type or model, postcode area, preferred service option and description of the problem. We use these details to respond, discuss a diagnostic, arrange support and manage a repair if you choose to proceed. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive information.

Our website host may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and requests to the site for security, troubleshooting and reliable operation.

We use information you provide to take steps at your request before a service is agreed, to provide services you book, to operate and secure the website in our legitimate interests, and to meet legal obligations where applicable. We do not use repair enquiries to send marketing emails. If you choose to join the SafeHands PC Care Club, we collect the email address and consent choices you provide. MailPoet manages the sign-up and email confirmation process, and subscriber records are stored in this website’s WordPress database. After you confirm your subscription, we use those details to send the free PC care downloads and occasional PC Care Club tips and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting bookings@safehandspcclinic.com. The configured email delivery provider processes the information needed to deliver messages.

How your information is handled and shared

Repair form submissions are sent by email to bookings@safehandspcclinic.com. WPForms Lite reports that it does not store form entries in the WordPress database; notification emails may remain in the recipient’s email account. Live chat messages and details you choose to share are processed through Tawk.to to provide and support the chat. Website hosting and email providers also process information as needed to operate the site and deliver messages. We may share relevant details with a courier only where you have agreed a mail-in or delivery arrangement.

We keep enquiry information only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry, any resulting repair and follow-up. We may retain limited records for longer where needed for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes, then delete or securely dispose of them.

Cookies and third-party links

WordPress, the repair form and the live chat may use cookies or similar storage. Tawk.to says its widget uses cookies, local storage and session storage for chat connections, visitor recognition and chat analytics. Where required, non-essential storage should only be used after consent.

Our live chat is provided by Tawk.to. Messages and contact details you choose to send through chat are shared with SafeHands PC Clinic and processed by Tawk.to to provide and support the chat. Tawk.to may also process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and device details, and states that it processes its services from the United States. Read Tawk.to’s Privacy Policy at https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/ and its widget cookie guidance at https://help.tawk.to/article/what-are-tawkto-cookies-and-what-do-they-do.

Your data protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, or object to certain use. You can make a request at bookings@safehandspcclinic.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained where the law allows or requires it.

If you are concerned about how we handle your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
